Stepping outside of the Thinker
It's a relief to know that what I think is not necessarily the reality of the present moment. I'm glad that I learned this meditation process of stepping outside of my thought process and observing the Thinker within.Sometimes I see an anxious person worrying about the next project, or I step outside to observe the person replaying some old video tapes in his head. The freedom that comes from stepping outside of my head is the greatest method for peace that I've learned in many years (you still can't beat sitting on top of Cadillac mountain and watching the sun rise).

When we're unconscious, our feelings follow what we're thinking. When we are fully aware and can observe the Thinker as a separate thing, we are free.
